Purpose and Impact
Jason Lemelson
Founder/Entrepreneur/Investor. Jason has spent his career founding and scaling consumer goods businesses, delighting consumers and launching hundreds of items with leading national retail chains. He has developed and managed programs with virtually every large retailer including Costco, Walmart, Target, Apple Stores, Best Buy and many others.
Hie has participated in several product categories including furniture, electronics, electric bikes, mobile phone accessories and gaming peripherals where he launched lines under license with Xbox, Playstation. Wii, RockBand and Guitar Hero. His companies are fast, scrappy and achieve scale and profitability quickly.
Most recently Jason founded FLTR, Inc. to alleviate the dire shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) during COVID. What started as a desire to help rapidly became one of the largest PPE suppliers in North American, ultimately, selling billions of masks and donating millions more to frontline workers and those in need.
His secret sauce has been finding new and/or evolving market segments and building dramatically improved products at a fraction of the time and cost as complacent competitors. His passion for product, extensive overseas operations experience and control of all aspects of the development process has led to repeated and increased success. Jason has spent considerable time overseas in China, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Vietnam overseeing manufacturing, managing overseas offices and doing deep dives into global supply chains.
Jason is currently the managing director for Spektra Capital and spends his time investing, skiing, diving, boating, producing music, in brutal workout routines and adventuring with his family.
Sanaz Ahari Lemelson
Vision/Impact/Scale. Sanaz has spent her distinguished career building, launching and managing some of the world's most notable consumer tech. Over the course of her career she has led organizations large and small, founded several new divisions/products, turned around products and teams and launched dozens of market leading tech.
Her success in such a diverse range of products and segments is testament to her maniacal user focus, clear and actionable strategy and operational mastery. She has grown and managed $XXB in revenue and billions of users globally.
Sanaz is currently the VP/GM for Android and Business Communications at Google including Google Messages, RCS/RBM and Dialer. In her prior role she founded and led Google's brand measurement team, led Gmail and Google's video calling product during the pandemic and was part of Microsoft's founding teams for Bing, Start.com/Windows Live and MSN Music.
Sanaz and Jason have been married since 2013, have two beautiful children and reside in Mercer Island, Washington.
